Terry's Cafe, London

I've been to Terry's Cafe before, usually for the traditional English breakfast, but this time decided to go for lunch there. One of the specials was sausage pie. Without thinking I ordered it. My thoughts turned to what exactly sausage pie actually was; could it be like a toad in the hole, sausages encased with pastry? Terry's Sausage Pie reminded me of a pork pie. It was sausagemeat encased with pastry. It was ok, sausage had a hint of pepper, I do however prefer sausages with a little more flavour such as cumberland or chorizo, however for a hungry visitor it did the trick and fills the belly.
Fancying something sweet after a meaty main, I saw apple strudel on the menu. I do like apple strudel, however I do have a dislike for dried fruit. Sometimes apple strudel has raisins, sultanas, current etc inside, and without knowing when I buy it, I normally spend 5 mins just picking them out. So this time I asked the waitress whether it contained any raisins or sultanas to be told no it didn't. However it did, so I had to eat the pastry top layer to dig through looking for them and picking them out. I know this may sound extremely un-necessary, however I don't like dried fruit.
The service here is friendly, you can tell it's a family run business here. Cup of tea is 20p!! Granted it is a small cup so you will need at least 2 cups, nevertheless still a bargain. All in all a reasonable place for decent food
